WORTHY PRESIDENT NEWS
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We have enjoyed the mildest winter ever. Your Aerie is ready to bring on
spring and summer. We have a lot of entertainment scheduled for the upcoming
months. Look for April 14th for our new and revamped 20/20 dinner. This
is unlike any 20/20 we have ever done. We also have a knock out comedy
night coming up on April 28th. Keep an eye on the calendar and come down
and enjoy your Aerie. Also, we are selling our cash bash tickets. Get them at
the bar or see an officer. The tickets are $10.00 and ALL proceeds go to the
University of Iowa
Eagles Research
Center, a great
cause for the cure of
diabetes. Don't forget
that it is your
obligation to sign up
at least one new
member a year.
Thank You
Dave Fritz Jr.
Madam Secretary
I would like to start by welcoming our new and re-enrolled members -
Ellen Fritz, Sue Foose, Karen Keast, Faith Biros, Linda Dimitroff, Dawn
Lundy, Jolie Behmlander, Pam Kamphuis, Angela Halverson, Donna
Schmidt, Ann Williams, Tammy Wentzloff, Patricia Brems, Betty Bosse,
Patricia Olson, Emily Casemier, Beth Katt, Lark Miller, Ammie Tuttle and
Kim Habian. Glad to have all of our new sisters aboard. The last
meeting in April is nomination of officers for next year. If you are
interested in running for an office, please contact Rita Cherry or myself
and will see that your name is turned into the nominating
committee. We will not know until that meeting if there will be a need for
an election or not, therefore, if we do need to have an election, I will put
up notices at the club and will post on the Auxiliary Facebook page. If
you want, you can always call me after the April meeting. Our children’s
Easter Party will be held on April 14, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30
a.m. If your children are 12 years old or younger, bring them down. We
have convinced the Easter Bunny to come back to town for that time
period and he is really anxious to see all the boys and girls. Sign-up
sheets are up at the club. If you are willing to donate any candy or such
for the party, there is a box at the club for that purpose. I will also be
contacting some of you to help on the Safety Patrol dinner on May 9,
2012. Please keep that date in mind. As I am writing this, we are having
70 degree weather in March – go figure. Happy Easter and Happy Spring
to all.
Debbi DeYoung,
Madam Secretary
Spring has arrived and so has riding season. March was
another productive month for the riders. We welcomed
another new member, Sandy Way. We had our best fish
fry of the season and another successful meat raffle on
the 9th.The March of Dimes Bikes for Babies event was a
great success. We had a breakfast in the morning and
several raffles throughout the day. The Auxiliary put on a
dinner in the afternoon and the Aerie held comedy night.
It was a busy day at the 925.Next on our agenda is the
Sandy Corley Kick-off Bash dinner on April 21st .
Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $25 per person and are
available only at the door. The riders will be preparing
the dinner with the help of Frank Stanitzek. We will also
be having a breakfast that morning from 8-11am.
Nomination sheets have been posted on our board. We
have several positions open.
Our April meeting has been moved to Sunday the 15th at
1:30 pm instead of on Easter Sunday so that we may all
be with our families…maybe even get in a ride!
