FCM Subscription Information, Pricing, and Additional Services 

This document explains Fuel Cell Markets Ltd’s (FCM’s) PACKAGE OF CORE SERVICES, which we offer at a 

fixed price per 12 month subscription period. Should a Partner require additional services to those offered in the 

Core Package, FCM are equipped to deal with these requests on a case-by-case basis (please see Additional 

Services). 

The Package of Core Services Includes: 

Subsite Creation / Development 

Subsites are the foundation upon which all other FCM delivery mechanisms operate. Subsites are extremely 

powerful database-driven websites in their own right, which channel information and business development 

opportunities directly into the Marketplace, and contacts and business information back to FCM Partners. 

Subsites are accessible both through the Marketplace Portal which centralises all information in one place, and 

directly through all major global internet search engines. Subsites contribute content to the Marketplace Portal 

through four primary directories: 

The Industry: Explaining the nature of individual businesses, and where they operate 

Information: Containing new & historical information, including press releases, reports, research, 

presentations and free e-newsletters 

Products & Services: From all areas of the supply chain from prototypes to products 

Opportunities: Targeted opportunity pages for business development, collaboration, and growth 

Several thousand people visit the marketplace every day and subsites enable businesses to position 

information, products and business development opportunities in-front of them in an effective searchable 

manner that then enable them to interact with the business by submitting targeted enquiries and through 

information-sharing. 

It is difficult to put into words quite how useful subsites are, and the numerous benefits they deliver to 

organisations. Seeing is believing and FCM Presently operate more than 70 subsites, each designed to reflect

Subsite Management: 

It is vitally important that information is accurate, up-to-date, and categorised correctly so that it can be easily 

retrieved through search-requests. As required by any effective website, this means adding new information, 

updating existing information, and archiving information that is no longer relevant. 

All additions and modifications to subsites are carried out by professionally trained FCM Account Managers, 

and these services are included in the core package of services. 

Enquiry Forwarding: 

Subsites are designed to generate particular types of enquiries in-line with individual organisational 

requirements. These range from: 

Sales / requests for quotations 

Partnership opportunities 

Recruitment 

Investment opportunities 

Requests for information 

The nature of this variation means that different enquiries are often dealt with by different people and / or 

departments. As part of the core package of services, FCM include an enquiry-forwarding service where 

enquiries are screened for relevance and then forwarded directly to the contact responsible for dealing with that

particular type of enquiry. In circumstances where enquiries are received that are not relevant, FCM offer a 

standard response mechanism. 

Business Development Assistance with Preparing ‘Opportunity Pages’: 

Opportunity pages are a very effective method of communicating what an organisation is looking to achieve at a 

particular pointing time to their desired audience. An overview of a particular Opportunity appears in the 

Marketplace Portal, and when a user follows a link to find further information, they are taken to the subsite to 

view it in full and to respond directly to the company that posted it. The Marketplace Portal is visited by 

thousands of people throughout the world every day, in addition to being given priority in the Marketplace 

Matters - FCM’s mailing to over 30,000 contacts every 2 months. The core package of services includes 

assistance with preparing three Opportunity Pages for inclusion in The Marketplace Mattes. The FCM Business 

Development Team will assist with the development of these pages to help make sure they deliver the desired 

rsults. Having demonstrated how to create Opportunity Pages to deliver the desired results, FCM provide a 

standard template which Partners can use to enter as many Opportunities as desired! Examples of active

Inclusion in FCM’s Bimonthly Electronic Mailing The Marketplace Matters: 

As mentioned above, The Marketplace Matters (TMM) is the delivery mechanism that Market Partners use to 

communicate specific opportunities and information to the wider Marketplace every two months. TMM is already 

received by more than 30,000 people and companies, and this database grows daily. Promotion in TMM has 

proven to increase enquiries by up to fivefold following its release. The Marketplace Matters is an opportunity 

for Partners to communicate directly with FCM’s Marketplace database, precisely what they are looking for, in a 

manner which enables the target audience to understand if it is relevant to them, and provides a managed 

direct response mechanism. Previous editions of TMM can be found at:

The Fuel Cell Circle (FCC): 

The FCC is a mechanism FCM have developed to inform FCM's partners about specific information and 

opportunities we encounter, create, or deem of value. Our active team is at the centre of one of the largest fuel 

cell communities worldwide, and our attendance at events and presence in the industry gives us access to a 

considerable amount of key information. The FCC is the mechanism we have developed to directly 

communicate that information to our partners. Content includes: project opportunities, industry knowledge, 

specific market feedback, useful contacts, information on tenders, requests for quotations, key industry 

information and opportunities to speak at events. 

Statistics Reports: 

There is a great deal more to a subsite than may initially be immediately obvious. Statistics reports from a 

previous month are sent out automatically on the first day of a new month, and help organisations to 

understand subsite activity and the number of benefits that subsites offer, from traffic to particular sections, new 

content added, new contacts, a summary of enquiries, and a great deal more. They also act as a benchmark to 

learn from and improve performance on an ongoing basis. 

10 Postings in the FCM Recruitment Directory: 

The FCM platform has proven to be extremely successful at delivering candidates and CV’s to Partners through 

the Recruitment Directory. The Core Package includes 10 Job postings, with each lasting up to three months.

Priority Listings in the Industry Directory and Portal Pages: 

Search engines already index several thousand articles in the Marketplace, and this figure grows every week. 

To improve the management of this substantial volume of information on behalf of our Partners, FCM have 

recently implemented Priority Listings and Portal Pages. Priority Listings in the Marketplace Portal Industry 



Directory, are included in the Package of Core Services and ensure that Market Partners listings appear above

Portal Pages draw content specific to particular subject areas from all relevant directories. This is possible 

because all content in the Marketplace is categorised with FCM’s advanced categorisation system - The Market 

Map. What this means is that if a user is interested in (for example) ‘Stationary Fuel Cells’, the ‘Stationary Fuel 

Cells Portal Page’ will contain relevant Glossary Descriptions, News, Images, Events, Products, Services, 

Opportunities, and Organisations all specifically relevant to Stationary Fuel Cells. Only information from Market 

Partners and Priority Listings will appear in these pages. 

Online Directory of Business Contacts: 

Subsites have the functionality that allows people to share their contact information with particular 

organisations. They can also request to be added to specific Market Partner’s mailing lists. A searchable list of 

these contacts can be accessed through the subsite content management system, and every month, new 

contacts that have registered their information are highlighted in the statistics reports. 

Pricing: 

FCM charge a single annual subscription fee of: £6,850 for our Package of Core Services. 

For ‘start-up’ companies that either have a sales revenue / capital value (whichever is greater) less than 

£1,000,000, this subscription fee is reduced to £4,500 for the first 12-month subscription. 

A Web-Only Package is also offered. This costs £4,750 and includes all Core Services excluding Business 

Development Assistance in Preparing ‘Opportunity Pages’, AND Inclusion in the Marketplace Matters industry 

mailing. These services can be added on an as needed basis @ £375 per addition. 

Priority Listings are included in the Package of Core Services at no extra cost - however it is possible to 

purchase Priority Listings separately. If Priority Listings are being purchased separately: 

Priority Listings cost £1,100 per annum. 

Priority Conference Listings cost £1,100 per event. 

Banners (see below) cost £1,000 per 4-month posting or are offered at a reduced rate of £2,500 for a full year. 

Additional Services below are calculated on a case-by-case basis unless stated otherwise. 

Additional Services and Further Information: 

Performance-based Services: 

FCM now offer additional services that operate on-top of the foundation of our core offering. This includes 

bespoke and ongoing work such as identifying distributors, strategic partners, arranging meetings / workshops / 

events, market intelligence, reports, consulting, and so forth as required. These services, along with payment 

terms are agreed on a case-by-case basis, and range from one-off fees, to monthly retainers. 

Website / Subsite Combinations: 

FCM subsites can also be an organisation’s entire website. In such circumstances, the company’s unique 

domain name (URL) is pointed to the subsite, and then the site can also be accessed through this URL. Many 

Market Partners already make use of this feature, including:

As websites usually have the need for bespoke features (e.g. stock tickers) and additional graphics work, 

additional fees are agreed on a case-by-case basis dependent upon requirements. 

Banners: 

Banners are graphics that appear at the top of all major Marketplace Directories, and draw visitors attention 

with a specific message. Clicking on a banner will take the user to a particular subsite, or in certain 

circumstances, to an external website. 

Banners are typically very specific and as the Marketplace allows users to profile themselves, banners that are 

more relevant to particular user-profiles will be displayed more prominently. For an example of a banner, please

FCM Projects: 

Headed by Mike Binder (Mike Binder and Associates Inc.), FCM Projects’ Chief Technology Officer, (who was 

previously the Head of the US Department of Defence Stationary Fuel Cell Program), FCM are now equipped to 

assist suppliers and customers with demonstration and deployment projects. This assistance can cover all 

aspects of a project from initial assessments, feasibility studies, due diligence, consultancy, technology 

procurement, to complete start-to-finish project management. Costs are based on an actual project costs plus

Recruitment: 

The Recruitment directory is the world’s largest fuel cell-specific searchable directory of recruitment 

opportunities. 10 Listings are included in the CORE PACKAGE OF SERVICES. Additional listings are charged

Multiple Language Translations: 

Sites can be translated into any language of choice by professional translation agencies. Prices are calculated 

on a per-word basis, with different languages being charged at different rates, in addition to implementation 

costs. 

Priority Directory Listings: 

Priority Directory Listings are included in Core Package of Services. Otherwise they are charged for in 

accordance with the pricing structure highlighted above. Priority listed companies appear higher in industry 

directory rankings than free listings. Furthermore, FCM’s Portal Pages only include Priority Listed Company’s. 

Priority Conference Listings: 

As with Priority Directory Listings, Priority Conference Listings are included in the Core Package of Services. 

Non-FCM Member organisations that wish to give conference / meeting / event listings higher priority over free 

listings can do so in accordance with the pricing structure highlighted above. 

Ecommerce: 

FCM Partners now have the option of integrating an online shop that will enable them to sell products directly 

via their subsite/website. To get the best value, costs for implementing these services are calculated on a caseby-case 

basis.
