In 2003 <strong>Dantherm</strong> decided to commit<br />
substantial R&D resources to the development<br />
and successful application of hydrogen<br />
and fuel cell technology. As a major<br />
supplier of climate control units for telecom<br />
base stations all over the world we<br />
focused on the development of Backup<br />
and Uninterruptible <strong>Power</strong> Supply based<br />
on this environmentally sustainable and<br />
economically viable technology.<br />
We believed we were preparing for a distant<br />
future. Our initiative, however, paid<br />
off much sooner than expected. The future<br />
began when we launched the fi rst power<br />
supply solutions using fuel cell tech -<br />
nology in 2005 and subsequently formed<br />
<strong>Dantherm</strong> <strong>Power</strong> in 2007.<br />
Since then <strong>Dantherm</strong> <strong>Power</strong> has focused on<br />
the further development and marketing of<br />
both customized power supply solutions for<br />
the telecom industry and the development<br />
of Micro Combined Heat and <strong>Power</strong> units<br />
based on fuel cell technology. These units<br />
can be used in private households, small<br />
apartment blocks, or small-scale industry.<br />
Today <strong>Dantherm</strong> <strong>Power</strong> has already produced<br />
and delivered several power supply<br />
solutions and the production and marketing<br />
of Micro Combined Heat and <strong>Power</strong><br />
units will start up in the near future.

What is fuel cell technology<br />
<strong>Fuel</strong> cells are electrochemical energy conversion<br />
units, producing electricity and<br />
heat from hydrogen and air. If hydrogen is<br />
not available they can be operated on reformed<br />
alcohols, bio fuels or natural gas.<br />
Environment friendly<br />
and extremely effi cient<br />
The potential benefi t to the environment<br />
from small local hydrogen powered fuel<br />
cell units replacing large power plants<br />
and district heating plants is immense.<br />
Our solutions emit no pollution or harm-<br />
ful substances. <strong>Fuel</strong> cells produce heat<br />
and electricity from hydrogen and oxygen.<br />
The latter is taken directly from the<br />
surrounding air. The process is almost<br />
noiseless and transmission loss of energy<br />
is virtually non-existent contributing to<br />
the overall extreme effi ciency of our fuel<br />
cell solutions.<br />

backup power solutions designed for<br />
telecom and IT networks providing Uninterruptible<br />
<strong>Power</strong> Supply as the units take<br />
over immediately in case of power interruptions<br />
or main power outage.<br />

A complete power and heating plant for a<br />
private household or small-scale industry<br />
