Gary Fraser<br />
Is a chartered accountant and a chartered fellow of the Securities Institute. He worked with Ernst &<br />
Young between 1993 and 1999, predominantly in the audit and risk assurance and corporate finance<br />
areas. He joined ISIS Asset Management plc in 1999 and was responsible for the provision of company<br />
secretarial services for several investment companies including two of the Baronsmead <strong>VCT</strong>s. He joined<br />
<strong>Foresight</strong> GP in September 2004 as group finance director and was appointed a partner in September<br />
2005.<br />
Nigel Aitchison<br />
Joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in 2008 as a partner. He is a member of the Investment Committee and is<br />
responsible for market opportunity analysis and customer and supplier contracting. Prior to joining<br />
<strong>Foresight</strong> GP, Nigel was a board director of both Shanks Waste Management Ltd, with annual turnover<br />
in excess of £130 million and employing over 800 people, and Shanks PFI Investments Limited, where<br />
he was until January 2008 responsible for all operational and business development functions related to<br />
projects financed under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) for public procurement.<br />
Russell Healey<br />
Has three years’ experience of private equity and corporate finance. He spent ten years in technology<br />
and marketing management positions, including four years with Thomson Financial. He has a classics<br />
degree from Exeter University and an MBA from London Business School. He joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in<br />
October 2007.<br />
James Livingston<br />
Joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in 2007 from Deloitte’s Strategy Consulting team where he advised businesses in<br />
the healthcare and technology sectors. Prior to joining Deloite James spent a year as a professional<br />
athlete rowing for Great Britain. He has a first class degree in Natural Sciences and Management from<br />
Cambridge University and holds the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.<br />
Tom Thorp<br />
Joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in 2008. Tom has over 5 years experience in financial analysis and due diligence<br />
reporting with KPMG’s Transaction Services and Restructuring teams both in London and Munich. He<br />
has advised on a wide range of industries, performing acquisition and vendor due diligence as well as<br />
advising on company refinancings and working capital exercises for demergers and AIM listings. Tom is<br />
a Chartered Accountant and graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Business Studies and<br />
Accountancy.<br />
James Samworth<br />
Joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in 2010. James is a first class Cambridge graduate with an MBA from London<br />
Business School. He spent 10 years at Corus in operations management and leading key commercial<br />
accounts supplying steel construction and manufactured goods to customers. He has investment<br />
experience within banking and private equity in the environmental, natural resources and industrial<br />
sectors, gained at Deutsche Bank, Lyceum Capital Partners and Next Wave Ventures.<br />
Matt Smith<br />
Matt joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP in 2010 from Rothschild where he spent 6 years working as a corporate finance<br />
adviser. Matt graduated from Oxford University in Biological Sciences and Physiology. During his time<br />
there, he rowed in the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race four times.<br />
Darrel Connell<br />
Darrel joined <strong>Foresight</strong> GP’s private equity team from Grant Thornton in 2010. At Grant Thornton he<br />
specialised in helping high growth business raise capital and development funding. Prior to Grant<br />
Thornton, Darrel was part of the start-up team at Joost, the internet TV company established by the<br />
Skype founders. Darrel holds a Business Accounting Qualification from CIMA and is currently an advisor<br />
to the Imbiba Partnership, an investment partnership focused on the leisure sector. Darrel graduated<br />
from Nottingham University in Politics.<br />
