Custom Enforcements 

• Preventing, pursuing and investigating of any kind of smuggling, 

• Preventing the persons, goods and vehicles from leaving custom zones 

until their transactions are complete, p ,

• To set up and operate research laboratories to assist the investigation

INTEGRATED BORDER BORDER MANAGEMENT TWINNING 

PROJECT 

As an expected output of the Turkey-EU Twinning Project on 

Integrated Border Management in Turkey, an Action Plan was 

released and submitted to the EU Commission 

Commission.

The Action Plan identify requirements for legislative 

alignments, institutional reforms, staffing and training and 

what further equipment and infrastructure should be 

deployed in order to ensure reinforced protection at the 

borders to attain best practices level to the extent possible.
