The <strong>Finger</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Community College <strong>Foundation</strong> is a 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation established to seek financial<br />
support for the College from the private sector. Given the ever-increasing constraints <strong>and</strong> reduced levels of public<br />
funds, private giving is increasingly important to public higher education. Private contributions are vital to maintaining<br />
a st<strong>and</strong>ard of excellence at <strong>Finger</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Community College.<br />
The <strong>Foundation</strong> assists the College with equipment purchases, special projects, faculty <strong>and</strong> special purpose campus<br />
events. The <strong>Foundation</strong> also receives <strong>and</strong> manages scholarships that help deserving FLCC students with tuition,<br />
books <strong>and</strong> supplies, room <strong>and</strong> boards <strong>and</strong> transportation. Scholarships help recruit students to programs that support<br />
the workforce needs of the region. Emergency program offer options to students in urgent situations to access grants<br />
to defer costs so choices about staying in college or paying an emergency bill do not have to be made.<br />
The <strong>Foundation</strong> is home to the CCFL/FLCC Alumni Association. The Alumni Association develops relationships<br />
with alumni <strong>and</strong> students of the College to support efforts that benefit alumni <strong>and</strong> advance the mission of the College.<br />
In addition, the <strong>Foundation</strong> owns <strong>and</strong> maintains three properties for the College’s use. The 40-acre Muller Field Station<br />
on Honeoye Lake offers a unique learning environment where students participate in telemetry research, walleye culture<br />
<strong>and</strong> river otter studies. Muller, adjacent to 1,000 acres of state l<strong>and</strong>, houses a retreat center <strong>and</strong> working fish hatchery.<br />
The East Hill Campus in Naples continues to develop its focus <strong>and</strong> wildl<strong>and</strong> fire suppression training <strong>and</strong> conservation<br />
class offerings. On the main campus in Can<strong>and</strong>aigua, the FLCC Honors House program offerings exp<strong>and</strong> annually hosting<br />
classes, meetings, events, <strong>and</strong> exhibits designed to encourage critical thinking, creative expression <strong>and</strong> mindful action.<br />

With the help of generous donors, the <strong>Foundation</strong> provided funds for a variety of programs <strong>and</strong> projects requested<br />
