Introduction<br />
Propeller pumps<br />
With capacities of up to 5000 litres per second, propeller<br />
pumps are used in storm-water stations, sewage<br />
treatment plants, land drainage, irrigation, aquaculture<br />
and water attractions.<br />
Pumping requirements and site conditions vary from one<br />
project to the next, but the modular design of the pumps<br />
makes them the ideal choice for a wide range of<br />
applications and for targeting specific requirements.<br />
When it comes to installation, the P 7000 and 3000<br />
series can be easily installed in a vertical steel or<br />
concrete column. In tanks, the P 4600 can be quickly and<br />
economically installed, operating through the wall<br />
between two tanks on a discharge connection.<br />
The P4600s are extremely compact and use multipole<br />
motors with a wide range of propellers, instead of<br />
mechanical gearing.<br />

<strong>Product</strong> identity<br />
ITT Flygt uses a simple system to code and thereby<br />
identify its products. Each pump is given a code made up<br />
of two letters followed by four numbers, e.g PL 3127. The<br />
first letter refers to the pump’s hydraulic section, i.e., the<br />
impeller and volute. It also refers to the pump, as the<br />
impeller used determines the pump type. The second<br />

Propeller designed for high flows at low<br />
P and ultra low heads, for clean or<br />
slightly contaminated liquids. The backswept<br />
propeller blades, together with a<br />
unique relief groove in the pump housing,<br />
reduces the risk of clogging.<br />
