Baptism<br />
The adult preparation for baptism of<br />
children (newborn to six (6) year olds)<br />
consists of ONE session. This is<br />
scheduled for the 1 st Sunday of June,<br />
August, October, December,<br />
February, and April at 10:45am<br />
downstairs in the Church. Please<br />
come to the rectory to complete<br />
registration form (at least one week<br />
prior). Parents must participate in<br />
baptism preparation before the<br />
reception of the sacrament, and are<br />
encouraged to do so during pregnancy.<br />
Godparents are encouraged to attend.<br />
Baptisms are celebrated on Sundays<br />
after the 11:30am Mass.<br />
Reconciliation (Confession)<br />
Saturday from 4:00pm to 4:45pm in<br />
the Church or by appointment with the<br />
priest.<br />
Anointing of the Sick and Visitation<br />
Anyone seriously ill, hospitalized for<br />
major surgery or by advanced age may<br />
be anointed by contacting the parish<br />
office. Communion calls to the 22<br />
nursing homes, the sick or shut-ins<br />
available please call 801-272-9216.<br />
Marriage<br />
An appointment must be made with<br />
the priest/deacon four months in<br />
advance of the anticipated wedding to<br />
begin the marriage preparation<br />
process.<br />
Funeral Arrangements<br />
Upon the death of a loved one please<br />
notify a priest from the parish<br />
immediately.<br />

UPDATE MSGR. MANNION<br />
Msgr. Mannion is on an extended sabbatical for the<br />
next three months for a much needed rest. If you<br />
wish to send a Thinking of You card to him, please<br />
address it to the parish and we will forward it to him.<br />
In the meantime the dioceses has assigned Msgr.<br />
Winterer, Fr. Briese, Msgr. Mayo, Fr. Silva, and Fr.<br />
Javier to cover Masses. Father Gibran will attend to<br />
the hospitals and any emergency that arises.<br />
RCIA<br />
As the Catechumens entered the next step on their journey into<br />
full communion with the Church, they celebrated the Rite of<br />
Election at the Cathedral on February 26, 2012. This marks the<br />
period of final, more intense preparation for<br />
the sacraments of initiation, during which the<br />
elect will be encouraged to follow Christ<br />
with greater generosity.<br />
Through the celebration of the Scrutinies,<br />
which take today and the next 2 Sundays,<br />
preparation for Holy Saturday is intensified.<br />
The Scrutinies are communal prayers celebrated around the Elect.<br />
The Rites of Exorcism give the Elect new strength in the midst of<br />
their journey and open their hearts to receive the gifts of the Savior.<br />
Together the Elect and the entire community reflect on the<br />
mysteries of sin and seek Christ’s forgiveness. The prayers at the<br />
ADULT EDUCATION<br />
There will be a study using Robert Barron’s Seven Deadly<br />
Sins, Seven Lively Virtues series on Sunday mornings,<br />
10:15 to 11:15. This will be held in the school building, in<br />
the Religious Education room located by the preschool<br />
classroom. Meetings will be held on 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, 4/15,<br />
and 4/22.<br />

Communion Ministers for the sick and homebound<br />
desperately needed. If you have one or two hours to spare<br />
for God the reward will be insurmountable. If interested<br />
