12 MASTER PLAN ANNUAL UPDATE project includes widening both the southbound turnpike on-ramp and off-ramp from one to twolanes. this project requires the widening of the bridge carrying the ramps over the turnpike in order to accommodate the added lanes. Implementation of this project will provide adequate capacity for existing and anticipated future ramp volumes and reduce backups within the interchange area and on the turnpike mainline. this project is scheduled for construction in fY 2013. 429334-1 Implement southbound turnpike on-ramp Improvement at Pga blvd. and Improve Intersection in Palm beach county This is an efficiency project to widen the southbound turnpike/s.r. 91 on-ramp at the Pga boulevard Interchange to two-lanes. additional improvements at the Pga boulevard ramp terminal intersection include a second eastbound left-turn lane and a second westbound right-turn lane. this is an operational and safety project that will improve intersection level-of-service and reduce delay. this project is scheduled for construction in fY 2014. 429339-1 turnpike system-wide conversion to all-electronic tolling (aet) Phase 5 on the turnpike from I-595 to the lantana mainline Plaza, and all of the sawgrass expressway in broward county. this project is Phase 5 of a program to convert all existing toll collection facilities on the turnpike system to a cashless, all-electronic toll collection system. the aet Phase 5 project includes the turnpike mainline from I-595 to the lantana mainline Plaza, and all of the sawgrass expressway. the Phase 5 conversion project includes 34 ramp toll plazas and three mainline toll plazas. this project also includes improvements to the Glades Road Interchange. Specifically, the northbound exit ramp will be widened and lengthened. In addition, the southbound to westbound right turn movement will be widened to two lanes at the ramp intersection. aet Phases 1, 2, and 3 are currently under construction, and Phase 4 is scheduled for construction in 2012. Phase 5 is scheduled for construction in 2014. 4.2 tables the turnpike master Plan projects are summarized in tables. those projects that are planned and programmed in the ten-Year finance Plan are shown in separate tables by project type: widenings, interchanges, toll plazas, and service plazas. Unfunded needs projects are shown on separate tables by the year of need in five-year increments for widening projects. Projects are not necessarily listed in priority order within each five-year increment. All projects listed on the Needs Plan tables for interchange and system-wide allelectronic toll collection conversion projects are assumed to be needed by 2035. West Palm Beach service plaza renovation. 4.3 maPs the turnpike master Plan maps display the projects included in the master Plan by turnpike facility. the maps show all projects including those that are programmed and planned in the ten-Year Finance Plan and those identified as unfunded needs projects. the maps use color-coded shading to differentiate among projects currently under construction, those in the ten-Year finance Plan, and those that are unfunded needs projects.
