BOARD OF DIRECTORS<br />
The Board<br />
The constitution of <strong>Forest</strong> & <strong>Wood</strong> <strong>Products</strong> <strong>Australia</strong><br />
allows between fi ve <strong>and</strong> nine Directors, including the<br />
Managing Director, who is appointed by the Board. At<br />
least two of the Board’s non-executive Directors must<br />
also be Independent Directors (not holding positions<br />
within any FWPA member companies). During the<br />
reporting period the Board comprised <strong>10</strong> Directors,<br />
including the Managing Director <strong>and</strong> two outgoing<br />
Directors. The Board welcomed two new Directors<br />
elected at the last Annual General Meeting: Mr Evan<br />
Rolley <strong>and</strong> Mr Mark Grey.<br />
CHAIRMAN AND NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR<br />
Mr Ron Adams (1)<br />
Managing Director of Wespine Industries Pty Ltd, Mr<br />
Adams is also President of <strong>Forest</strong> Industries Federation<br />
of WA <strong>and</strong> a Trustee of J.W. Gottstein Memorial Trust. He<br />
was formerly a Director of National Association of <strong>Forest</strong><br />
Industries (NAFI), member of WA Minister for <strong>Forest</strong>ry’s<br />
Timber Plantation Advisory Group <strong>and</strong> The <strong>Australia</strong>n<br />
Plantation <strong>Products</strong> <strong>and</strong> Paper Industry Council (A3P).<br />
He holds an associateship in Mechanical Engineering, is<br />
a graduate of the Harvard Business School International<br />
Advanced Management Programme <strong>and</strong> a Foundation<br />
Fellow of the <strong>Australia</strong>n Institute of Company Directors.<br />
Board responsibilities: Member of the R&D Investment<br />
Committee <strong>and</strong> Chair of the Market Knowledge <strong>and</strong><br />
Development Advisory Group.<br />

Mr Nick Roberts (2)<br />
Mr Roberts is CEO of <strong>Forest</strong>s NSW. Previously, he has<br />
worked as Managing Director of Weyerhaeuser in both<br />
New Zeal<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>, held senior roles in sales,<br />
marketing <strong>and</strong> operations with Fletcher Challenge in pulp<br />
<strong>and</strong> paper <strong>and</strong> forestry businesses, was president of the<br />
New Zeal<strong>and</strong> <strong>Forest</strong> Owners’ Association, Director of<br />
<strong>Forest</strong> Research, <strong>and</strong> inaugural Chair of A3P. He holds a<br />
Master of Science in <strong>Wood</strong> Science.<br />
Board responsibilities: Chair of the Promotion, Services<br />
<strong>and</strong> Communication Committee.<br />
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR<br />
Mr Vince Erasmus (3)<br />
Mr Erasmus is the Managing Director of one of <strong>Australia</strong>’s<br />
largest hardwood plantation forestry managers, Elders<br />
<strong>Forest</strong>ry Limited (formally ITC Limited). An experienced<br />
industry participant, Vince has extensive skills <strong>and</strong><br />
expertise in the management of both softwood <strong>and</strong><br />
hardwood operations internationally as well as broad<br />
experience in the solid wood-processing environment.<br />
He is also a Director of <strong>Forest</strong> Stewardship Council (FSC)<br />
<strong>Australia</strong>, National Association of <strong>Forest</strong> Industries (NAFI)<br />
<strong>and</strong> World <strong>Forest</strong>ry Center in Portl<strong>and</strong>, Oregon.<br />

Committee, Chair of the Solid <strong>Wood</strong> Processing<br />
Advisory Group<br />
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (INDEPENDENT)<br />
Mr Mark Grey (4)<br />
Mr Grey is the Chief Executive, Queensl<strong>and</strong> Eye Hospital<br />
<strong>and</strong> a non Executive Director of CPA <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>and</strong> the<br />
Independent Ophthalmic Network.
