Farewell Stage 13
Curt and Nani Nehring Bliss
hosted open mic sessions in
Stage 13 on the first Tuesday
of each month from 1999 to 2009. When Curt became the director of the honors studies program,
the Campus Activities Board (CAB) became the sponsor of the popular monthly events.
Curt and CAB began planning one final open mic night in Stage 13 after the date was set for its
demolition. Invitations to current students and former Stage 13 singers and musicians resulted
in more than 30 acts – several performers are shown here – taking the stage one last time on Feb. 8.
