Donations in his memory will be used to replace the benches at the FLCC tennis courts with new ones designed and built by New Energy Works and Pioneer Millworks. John Caraluzzo, associate professor of mathematics, recalls Howard’s influence on his peers and the students he supported: “It dawned on me that in every facet of his work at the College, Howard served as a metaphorical bridge: A bridge connecting his students and the knowledge and skills they were trying to attain. A bridge connecting student tutors and tutees, facilitating their ability to participate in the teaching/learning process.
