Toler ’06 married on May 29,
2009, at St. Mark’s Church. Other
alumni involved were maids of
honor Suzanne Lane ’05, Chelsea
Airey ’07 and Emily (Crowe)
McClain ’05. After a honeymoon
in Riviera Maya, Mexico, they are
living in Indianapolis.
Christian (Myers) Loy ’06 works
for Arc of the Ozarks and runs a
group home and independent
living facility for adults with
physical and mental disabilities.
She and her husband, David,
reside in Ozark, Mo.
Heather Peters ’06 completed
her master’s degree in physician
assistant studies from the
University of Saint Francis in
Fort Wayne, Ind., in August. She
recently accepted a position with
Clarian Cardiovascular Surgeons
and resides in Indianapolis.
Sarah (Shipley) Richardson ’06
and her husband, Matthew,
recently purchased their first
home and are residing in
Waverly, Ind. Sarah is in her third
year as communications officer
for the Community Foundation
of Morgan County.
Chelsea Airey ’07 received a
graduate assistantship at Indiana
University Purdue University–
Indianapolis. She is working
for the department of
neighborhood partnerships,
writing grants and helping build
relationships with churches and
other organizations.
Austin Andrick ’07 and Jennifer
Searcy ’09 married on July 25,
2009, at Richardson Chapel on
the Franklin College campus.
Others involved were bridesmaids
Candace Beatty ’09, Cait Conoley
’09, Megan Gushwa ’08 and
Katie Stephens ’10 and best man
Matt Goen ’07. After a honeymoon
in Cancun, Mexico, they
are residing in Indianapolis.
Austin is a kindergarten teacher
for the Christel House Academy.
Jennifer is working for the PR
agency o2ideas, with Honda
Manufacturing of Indiana as her
primary client.
Tim Fish ’07 was a volunteer for
NBC Sports during its telecast
hours for the final round of the
U.S. Senior Open at Crooked
Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.,
this past August.
Athletic trainers’ showdown
Their work as athletic trainers for rival college football teams recently gave
former classmates Ashley Malloy ’05, of Faulkner University, and Kara
Campbell ’06, of Huntingdon College, the chance to work at the same arena —
on opposing sides of the field. During the second annual Capital City Showdown
in Montgomery, Ala., Campbell’s Huntingdon Hawks defeated Malloy’s Faulkner
Eagles 21–7. Both women graduated from Franklin College with degrees in
athletic training and then completed graduate assistantships at Troy University,
earning master’s degrees in sport and fitness management.
