Jamie Bromley, assistant professor of
psychology, teaches general psychology,
theories of personality and abnormal
psychology. She holds a doctorate in
counseling psychology from the University
of Akron and a master’s degree in
psychology from Duquesne University.
Her bachelor’s degree in psychology is
from the University of Dallas.
Karen Burgard, assistant professor of
education, teaches educational psychology,
geography and social studies methods.
She currently is pursuing a doctorate in
interdisciplinary education and history.
She holds a master of arts in education
from University of Missouri-Kansas City
and a master of integrated humanities in
education from Rockhurt University.
Her bachelor’s degree in education is
from University of Missouri-Columbia.

College welcomes new faculty
Kevin R. Burke, assistant professor of
fine arts in music, teaches music history
and music theory courses and serves as
coordinator of instrumental music. He
currently is preparing to defend his
dissertation for a doctorate in musicology
from the University of Cincinnati, College-
Conservatory of Music; he holds a master
of music degree in music history from
the same institution. His bachelor of
music in French horn performance is
from Appalachian State University, Hayes
School of Music.
Heather Clifton, laboratory coordinator
for the Natural Sciences Division, teaches
general chemistry laboratory courses. She
holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in
chemistry from Ball State University.

Nicolas Crisafulli, lecturer of fine arts,
teaches acting, theater appreciation and
public speaking. He holds a master of fine
arts degree in theater directing from the
University of Memphis and a bachelor’s
degree in theater arts and political science
from Presbyterian College.
Lynn Fletcher, assistant professor of
biology, teaches introductory biology for
non-majors and biology for education
majors. She holds a doctorate in
neurobiology and behavior from Cornell
University. Her bachelor’s degree in
biological sciences is from Mount Holyoke
College.
