Tell Your Story is empowering, thought-provoking, and esteemproducing.
The program revolves around self-expressive
activities using written and signed languages. English and ASL
are the primary languages, but participants are exposed to other
written and signed languages according to their interests. The core
of the program is the development of a presentation by each student
group, telling their stories through music interpretation, mime,
dance, and the visual arts. Students will practice various performing
arts techniques and skills, and will develop the script as well.
Knowledge of sign language is NOT required. Classes in performing
arts, memoir/scriptwriting, team building, and personal discovery
will be augmented by typical summer camp activities such as low
ropes, swimming, boating, crafts, and team sports.

Are you 15 or older and looking for a great summer job?
Lifeguarding puts you in an exciting position, working as part
of a team to help people safely enjoy the water. Learn lifesaving
skills from a certified deaf Lifeguarding Instructor at Gallaudet
University. The Lifeguard Certification course will help
you acquire skills that will enable you to recognize and prevent
injuries, develop rescue skills, and learn First Aid and CPR.
Date of program: June 22 – 27, 2009
Program fee: $645
Who Can Attend: 15 and older

The “Loving Me” Girls Camp is a fun-filled camp that teaches
young deaf and hard of hearing teenagers how to love who they
are. The camp is designed to boost girls’ self-esteem, build confidence,
and develop leadership abilities. The days will be filled
with different activities, including but not limited to, a beauty
transformation day/photo shoot, a day trip outing, and much
more!

Program fee: $585

Enrollment to many of our camps is limited, so be sure to
complete your application as soon as possible.

will incur a $50.00 late fee.
