Book Awareness, Identifying
Pictures, Letters and
Words, Counting in Sequence,
and using One to
One Correspondence. Now
we are moving on with Water
Pipes and Fairness.

to predict what the book is
going to be about by looking
at the cover. Ask him/
her to show you what part
of the page you should
begin reading (the text
versus the picture). When
you read to your children,
you might begin to guide
their fingers across the
