today . When people found that they
have been deceived, and their existence
stands in jeopardy, trapped
with their backs to the wall, anything
can be expected .
Da-Can you clarify further the
"miss-education" and the results -
keeping Africans generally in a "colonial
status" and cause our college
trainees to become agents to preside
over our liquidation 9
Uba - During slavery days we
were mentally free, despite the
shackles on our feet . Alien environment
and what it had to offer only
added to our efforts to extricate ourselves
and to return home . With that
mental freedom, leaders like Harriet
Tubman, Pastor Nat Turner, Richard
Allen, Samuel Hopkins, Denmark
Vesey, Paul Cuffe, Samuel J.
Mills and others could then see the
impossibility of any future within
the "pale of the whites" and agitated
for "separation and return to
Africa." They were able to see at
that early stage the coming of the
battle for jobs and directed return
to their land and avoid wrangle over
bread and butter, a minor part of
the present conflict .
Da-TTba, John B . Russwurm, a
college graduate and first editor in
America and Lott Cary, a minister
advocated repatriation too . All of
those leaders, prior to Emancipation
in 1863, rebelled against integration .
How come our present leaders stand
aloof in face of our present predicament
and continue to allow themselves
to execute the designs of those
living in luxury at our expense? For
example every European in Rhodesia
has "an average of two cars" while
the African only rags on his back?
Uba-Imposition of citizenship in
name only was a procedure enacted
in 1865 that recaptured the liberated
Africans, hampered their return to
Africa and kept them as cheap labor
coupled with the pin-down strategy.
To ensure that purpose the science
of brainwashing was applied during
Reconstruction Days and continued
to this day . To counteract the brainwashing,
the liberated teachers and
community school administrators
found themselves ambushed, under
fi re .
AFRICAN OPINION
Da-Do you think the brainwashing
brought about the mental "twist"
that caused our graduates and natural
leaders to remain silent in our
dilemma? Aren't they masters in
history, psychology, mathematics, all
pre-requisite for graduation, and
place them in a position to see beyond
the veil? Then something must
he wrong when we find the majority
of our professionals with alien wives,
by-passing their tribal sisters . What's
going on here, Uba ?
Uba-Yanked away from their innate
indigenous freedom, they fell
prey to alien retaliation if and when
they became concerned over our misery
and even afraid to lend token
encouragement to the braves who
plunged out for liberation . The
Rhody McCoys, the Reverend Olivers,
the Spencers et all are trying to
remedy the situation and to reproduce
responsible leaders who like
Congressman Adam C. Powell, can
stand like Jews, Irish, Polish and
others even in Congress and adequately
represent the people who support
them without fear or favor.
Da-In meaningful parades like
those of Marcus Garvey, not one of
our prominent African - American
leaders took part, no unit of African-
American police, no African-American
unit from the National Guard
participated . But on "St . Patrick's
Dav" we see Irish-Americans from
all branches-army, navy and other
Government services in line of march
headed by a prominent Irish-American,
a Postmaster General, etc . On
"Columbus Day" the same pattern
prevails with Italian-Americans
headed by perhaps a political leader
in front. On "Pulaski Day", Polish
leaders and rank and file are prominently
dressed in the garb of the
mother country. With these pictures
in evidence, does it not show that a
conspiracy is existing against African-Americans,
all things considered,
Uba?
Uba-There is no doubt about it .
The blueprint is there for all to see.
And while we waste time moving one
block of alienation, we run into
greater blocks, one after the other.
These stumbling blocks are purposely
erected to keep us barricaded in
dream land to permit the Europeans
in South Africa, South West Africa,

to digin, consolidate and annihilate
our brothers there and strengthen the
"Free world", you understand?
The mineral wealth of the African
continent, the tropical climate with
its four crops per year are the coveted
handsome profit discovered and that
is behind all, our problems in the
Americas. It is military strategy to
divide an enemy- ; pin-down each part
and reduce each simultaneouslv .
Da-Uba, at this time we are hearing
some strange names thrown at
us here. They call us "negroes", not
Africans ; blacks, not Africans ; the
95% Africans on the continent,
Western leaders and press are calling
them "Black-Africans", "Black-
Rhodesians", - leaving of course the
inference that only the few whites
in Africa are "The Africans" . Is
this a threat, Uba ?
Uba-This is not a threat ; it is
war, a cold war . The dye is already
cast . Remember the declaration that
"Africa is a vacuum, an empty continent",
"the greatest prize on
Earth?" Do you know what those
implied? Forget your fatherland and
you seal your doom .
Da-What do you think of a few
of our brothers here in America asking
for 5 states in the American
Union for their own rule, calling
them "black States", Uba ?
Uba-That is only another diversion
directed by the profiteers who
are aware of the oil in the Sahara,
iron ore in abundance, uranium, etc.,
a well watered continent that they
called "the bread basket of the
world." Remember : "What is good
for the goose is good for the gander ."
