RMR Communications 2009 This promises to be a busy and exciting year with the Porsche Parade in Colorado and the new track opening. The event schedule is very full.. Email is the best way to keep everyone informed of upcoming events and last minute schedule changes. To reach the most members, we will be using the national PCA membership list. This list includes all members who reside in the Rocky Mountain Region whether they are members of RMR or not. It also provides for email to affiliate members. This means that you don’t have to depend on the primary member to forward the email to you. To make sure you continue to get RMR notices via email go to the PCA site (www.pca.org). Log in to your account and check your email address. The login instructions are at the bottom of the PCA home page. If you have never logged in before, just follow the instructions. If you don’t want to receive the emails, there is a check box where you can opt out. We will limit emails to club activities that are of interest to the general membership. (We don’t want our inboxes to overflow either.) If you have any problems or questions, drop me an email at vicepresident@rmrporscheclub.com. Rex Heck Another year has come and gone. But take heart – the 2009 RMR/AMR driving season is upon us and we are all excited to have High Plains Raceway as one of our Colorado tracks. We love that it’s closer to home. This is an addendum to my 2008 Car Number article found on our club’s website under the “Info” tab. In the past, car numbers became stale if the number assigned was not seen/used at either a track or autocross event for two years. This year, however, the RMR Board has requested I extend the “stale” rule by one year in hopes that the “inactive” car number(s) of 2006 will be active in 2009 with a track closer to home. Therefore, if you have not driven in either an autocross or track event during the 2006, 2007 or 2008 Porsche driving season, please try and make it to a Porsche autocross or track event in 2009 to keep your car number active. If you have any questions, cannot remember your car number, or want to see if your favorite number is available for your usage, please feel free to e-mail me, Norma Nada, at sloporsche@aol.com (best way). Look forward to seeing you at an event in 2009! Norma Nada CAR NUMBERS rmrporschenews 7 April 2009
