“Spring Fever” LaJunta Style Friday, May 15th thru Sunday, 17th, 2009 LaJunta Raceway: Test & Tune, Ground School, Driver Education and Challenge Series Timed Event Clearly the BEST VALUE of the Year and we Guarantee FUN for all! LaJunta, Colorado. We are just weeks away from the first full weekend of test and tune, ground school, drivers education and Challenge Series timed event. Registration at (www.motorsportsreg.com) will be open soon so mark your calendars. The first 70 drivers registered before May 6th will receive a FREE dinner Saturday night with an all you can eat Bar- B-Que dinner & (cash bar) at Boss Hoggs. If you’ve never been to the track then come see what the buzz is all about with a FREE “Taste of the Track” for those who sign up prior to May 6th. Test & Tune - Friday May 15th, afternoon session 12-4:30 pm. • A minimum of 20 drivers will need to participate to cover the fixed costs. It is strongly recommended that novice drivers not participate due to the nature of this event and any exceptions will need to be approved by the Chief Driving Instructor. Cost is $85 and could incrementally decrease with increased participation. Please note that this fee is separate from the DE costs. Ground School - Friday May 15th, 5:30 pm • Dinner is on your own at Boss Hoggs, with an instructor-lead class and discussion to follow. Ground School will start promptly at 6:45 pm and will be roughly 75 minutes long. This is a great opportunity to polish up for the veterans and help out the rookies. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and brush up. Driver Education - Saturday May 16th thru Sunday May 17th • All day, arrive early as gates open at 7:00 am with mandatory drivers meeting at 8:00 am and the first set of driver will be on the track by 9:00 am. Lunch is on your own so don’t forget to bring something. ReinCARnation and Action Line Auto Trim will provide adult refreshments at the end of each day. Thank you sponsors. AMR Tech Inspection – Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 • Pre Tech can be done FREE, Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 at European Performance. European Performance specialists will be available, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, location is 406 S. Sierra Madre. Tech inspection at the track will be $20 and as always there is no cost to cars brought in by trailer. The 26th Annual Exotic Sports Car Show & Concours d’Elegance Sunday, June 14th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Arapahoe Community College 5900 S Santa Fe Drive Littleton, Colorado A Benefit for United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado The Exotic Sports Car Show and Concours d’Elegance is one of the largest gatherings of priceless automobiles in Colorado. Nearly 400 treasured cars from early classics and collector cars to vintage race cars and current models will be on display. Many of these incredible cars come out only once a year for this show, to help the CP children. Nearly 100 local and regional car clubs, businesses and media sponsors draw more than 10,000 spectators to generate funds for United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado. Now in its 26th year, the Exotic Sports Car Show & Concours d’Elegance has become one of the grandest, most entertaining and most anticipated car shows in Colorado! To date this spectacular event has raised over $1,000,000 for United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado’s Creative Options Early Education Centers. These five centers provide early care, intervention, prevention, support and education services to expectant mothers and nearly 800 infants, toddlers and pre-school children and their families each year. Another 750 children are on waiting lists. The Concours d’Elegance and Exotic Sports Car Show is also a premier opportunity for Corporate Sponsors to experience tremendous exposure for your company. This prestigious show reaches a well educated and influential audience of car collectors and enthusiasts as well as the general public. The kids win and the corporate sponsors win. There are four ways RMR members can support our fundraising: 1) Bring your special cars out to be judged or displayed. You can register directly using the Cerebral Palsy of Colorado web site at www.cpco.org, click on Special Events, then Exotic Sports Car Show, and then retrieve the form to register your car on the following page. This is an RMR/AMR Challenge Series Event. 2) Be a spectator. Bring the family out and enjoy the fabulous array of Porsches, Jaguars, Ferraris, Corvettes, Mercedes Benz, BMWs, Lotus, Maseratis, as well as a long list of other marques. Log on to the Cerebral Palsy’s website at www.cpco.org you will find a coupon offering a $1.00 discount on the $10.00 spectator entrance contribution. 3) Volunteer to help us on the day of the show. The exotic car clubs in Denver join together to host and run this show so that all of the income can be provided to help the children. An additional $10 per registration would bring in more than $400 extra from our club.
