Relax During an Excursion into the Region<br />

Rest and Relax in Nature<br />

You can relax in an idyllic oak forest in the airport’s immediate<br />

vicinity. There are long trails for hiking or jogging. For children,<br />

there is a large adventure playground. You can get there in just<br />

15 minutes by taking bus no. 62 from Terminal 1 or 2; get off at<br />

Rheinlandstrasse.<br />

Explore <strong>Frankfurt</strong> on Your Own<br />

From the airport’s regional train station, you can reach central<br />

<strong>Frankfurt</strong> in only 15 minutes by metropolitan train (S-Bahn) line<br />

S8 or S9. If you’d like to combine convenient,<br />

free access to all of <strong>Frankfurt</strong> with numerous<br />

discounts for the Palmengarten botanical<br />

garden, ship rides, etc. we recommend that<br />

you purchase the <strong>Frankfurt</strong> Card.<br />

By Bus to <strong>Frankfurt</strong> and Its Environs<br />

Enjoy the old and new <strong>Frankfurt</strong> on a bus trip: see the towers of<br />

the former city wall, the skyscrapers of the banking district, and the<br />

Alte Oper. Explore the historic city center with the “Römer” (city<br />

hall), the cathedral, and St. Paul’s Church – or go on an extended<br />

shopping tour in Goethestrasse and the Zeil.<br />
