2. Composition<br />

Blue Diamond Brand Powdered <strong>Tragacanth</strong> <strong>RP484</strong> is a blend of which the greater part is<br />

<strong>Tragacanth</strong> It is combined with another natural gum Guar Gum to give synergistic<br />

effect.<br />

Inhalation: May produce an allergic reaction in susceptible<br />

individuals (eg Asthmatics or Hay Fever sufferers)<br />

Skin Contact: Slight irritation may occur.<br />

Eye Contact: May cause eye irritation<br />

Wash area with an excess of water.<br />

Fire risk: Burns if heated, giving off smoke and pungent vapours.<br />

As with all carbohydrates, a potential explosion hazard<br />

exists in high concentrations of dust in the air.<br />

Extinguishing Media: Use CO2 or dry chemical for small fires and water or foam<br />
