of developing base areas to work from as
well as engaging in armed struggle, according
to a Manila report ., They now
come out more often than before on raiding
missions in support of the peasants'
struggle against local tyrants and their
~~ccamplices .
In the ten days from June 3 to June l2
the liberation fighters made threes raids
in Central Luzon, killing six landlords
who had been accused of misty©sting peasants
. A r:anila press -report said that
nn the evening o;~ June 6, three PLA men
went into the house of ono of these land
oti~mers in P.nnptznga : Pro4incp, ~,arrpsted
him, tried and convicted him on the spot
of mistreating peasants, and then shot
him: to d oath .
Another report said that two PLA men
had ambush©d five special agents of the
first military district of security forces
of the Philli~pine government, killing
four of them and heavily wounding another,
before they thrms©Ives safely
returned to their base .
The Philla.pin® paper "Daily Mirror"
disclosed that in the first four months
of this year the PLA had supported the
peasants' s~rug~le by killing; -l$ tyrant
landlords . Last year it had done away
with 73 landlords, and has definitely
vaon the warm support of the broad masses
of ,the poor peasants . ,
