As a global leader or manager, you have been identified as<br />

Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) program at <strong>Foster</strong> is for<br />

individuals who have strong international experience and<br />

As an experienced global manager, you will study full-time<br />

at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Washington</strong> in Seattle, <strong>Washington</strong>,<br />

U.S.A. The program prepares middle and senior managers to become top executives with advanced courses<br />

in global strategy, finance, business leadership, and management. The 12-month program starts in June and<br />

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS<br />

This program is ideally suited for international business pr<strong>of</strong>essionals who are looking to enhance their career in<br />

an increasingly complex global business environment.<br />

Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for admission to the Global Executive<br />

MBA program:<br />

• Degree Requirement: Applicants must have a four-year undergraduate degree in business or alternate<br />

degree with equivalent work experience.<br />

• Pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> English Language Pr<strong>of</strong>iciency Requirement: Applicants must have a minimum TOEFL score <strong>of</strong> 92<br />

iBT or 7.0 IELTS. This will exempt applicants from having to complete additional English coursework.<br />

- OR -<br />

TOEFL score <strong>of</strong> 84-91 iBT (no sub-score below 18) or 6.5 IELTS (no sub-score below 5.5). Applicants with<br />

test scores in these ranges are required to enroll in the UW Intensive English Program (IEP) in spring<br />

quarter (March) and successfully complete the course with a combined GPA <strong>of</strong> 3.0 or above. With successful<br />

completion <strong>of</strong> the IEP course they will be eligible to enroll in the GEMBA program in June. The IEP registration<br />

application fee and tuition are not part <strong>of</strong> the GEMBA program cost.<br />

• Official Transcripts: Applicants must submit one <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript from all college or university institutions<br />

in which a degree was granted.<br />

• GMAT Criteria: If a candidate is nominated and sponsored by their organization, the GMAT will be waived as<br />

a requirement. If a candidate is self-sponsored and is not supported by an organization, the candidate must<br />

take the GMAT and submit the score as part <strong>of</strong> the application process.<br />

• Statement <strong>of</strong> Financial Ability: To be considered for admission, applicants must submit a Financial Ability<br />

Form with supporting <strong>of</strong>ficial financial documentation showing adequate financial resources to cover the cost<br />

<strong>of</strong> one-year <strong>of</strong> study.<br />

• Employer Letter <strong>of</strong> Support: If a candidate is nominated and sponsored by his/her organization, then he/<br />

she must submit a letter from their employer explaining how and why the candidate is being supported to<br />

take a one-year sabbatical from his/her current position to complete the program on a full-time basis in<br />

Seattle. If a candidate is self-sponsored then he/she must submit a letter <strong>of</strong> recommendation from a current<br />

or previous supervisor.<br />
