DIAL, JAMES R., JR. “JIM”aged
84, died peaceably in
his sleep, Friday, April 5, 2013
at his home in Knoxville, TN.
Jim grew up the son of the
late Grace and Reaford Dial
of Madisonville, TN. An Army
Veteran, he proudly served in
the Korean War. He was well
known in the Knoxville area
for his dedicated work at Finn
Equipment Co., Knoxville
Sheet Metal, and Valley Electric.
He was perhaps better
known for all the invaluable
advice he was always willing
to provide whether anyone
wanted it or not. Survivors include
Jo Reed Dial, wife of almost
61 years; daughter Sue
Bivens (Jerry); sons Larry,
East Ridge, TN, Richard of
Knoxville; grandsons, Greg
(Annette) and Tony (Ellen)
Bivens, Jimmy Dial all of
Knoxville; great grandchildren,
Gregory Bivens, Trevor
Childs, Ella Jane Bivens,
Maggie Mae Bivens and Laurana
Parsons; sisters Christine
Cloud of Powell, Irene
(Willis) Lee of Madisonville,
TN and Mary Dial Goodman
of Knoxville. He also leaves
his very dear canine friend,
Peppers. The family will receive
friends Thursday, April
11, from 5-7pm at Bethel
United Methodist Church,
2004 Amherst Road,
Knoxville. A Memorial Celebration
will follow at 7 pm.

MURDOCK, DENNIS “MAD
DOG”, of Tellico Plains,
passed away Wednesday,
March 27, 2013 at his residence
at Grunt Custom Cycles,
Tellico Plains, TN. Dying
of natural causes, he was a
Vietnam Veteran and an active
member to the motor
cycle community. He was
loved by most, known by
many, and he will never be
forgotten. He is preceded in
death by his father, Robert
Bruce Murdock and loving
mother, Elizabeth Katheran
Shuhart Murdock. Survivors:
Son: Dennis Gordon Murdock,
Jr. Brothers: Ronald
Phillip Murdock Bruce Murdock.
Those left to mourn his
passing and celebrate his
memory are: Dog, T. Bear,
Chris, Darla, Tony, Patty, Ms.
Ruby, Pinky, Kacey, Nina,
Becky, Dianna, and of course,
his dogs, Bristol and Zeke

service will be held at
a later date followed by a memorial
