empty boxes. Trigger decrease the initial peak and mean load values of empty boxes as
shown in Figure 6.8. The initial peak and mean load values decrease from 93 kN and
38 kN (at 50% deformation) in boxes without trigger to 70 kN and 31 kN in boxes with
trigger (Figure 6.8). It is also noted in Figure 6.8 that trigger induces a more uniform
deformation behavior in empty box, by lowering the differences between peak and
subsequent peak load values in load-displacement curve.
