Springfield, MO 3934’s “Monthly Camera” is top bulletin
Virginia, British Columbia, Massachusetts/Rhode Island take state/provincial honors
The Queen City FOE 3994 Monthly Camera, newsletter of Springfield, Missouri Aerie/Auxiliary 3934, is the grand
prize winner of the 2010 Grand Aerie Bulletin Contest. Peggy L. Olson is editor of the Monthly Camera.
The judges selected the Monthly Camera based on its thorough coverage of local Eagle activities and its attractive
and easy to read layout.
“Unlike so many bulletins,” noted a judge, “the Springfield newsletter
devotes its front page to actual news instead of a calendar or message from the
presidents. Those things have their place in a bulletin, of course, but it isn’t
right up front.”
