PUEBLO, CO – Members of
Aerie/Auxiliary 3367 raised
$1,238.87 at a fundraising event to
fight child abuse, reports Madam
President Luann Peek.
ELKHORN, NE – Miss Nebraska –
Jennifer Hart of Elkhorn – accepted a
donation of $1,500 from
Aerie/Auxiliary 3943 during a “Big
Red Night” at the Eagles. Ms. Hart
spoke to
the
members
at the
event
about her
campaign
to
promote
awareness and education regarding
breast cancer. “I can tell you that the
Susan G. Komen Foundation will be
happy that the Eagles were so
generous,” she said. Presenting the
check were Madam President
Marlene Louis and Worthy President
Randy Beiermann.
KENAI, AK – The Autism Society of
Alaska Golden Heart Chapter
received the gift of two pieces of
ivory worth $500 from Aerie 3525,
PERU, IL– The fourth annual “Relay for Life – Ladies Night”
cancer fundraiser run by the wives of Aerie 2688 members

TAMA-TOLEDO, IA – Last December, Aerie/Auxiliary 2828 presented a total of
$1,200 to the local Police and Fire Depts. and Ambulance Services. State Madam
Trustee Brenda Youngbear, local Community Service Chairman, did the honors. With
her are check recipients Duane Lemke, Roger Benda, John Schmidt, Trent Hootman,
Mike Thomas and Rod Anderson.

ALBERT LEA, MN – A “Soup and
Dessert Supper” at Aerie/Auxiliary
2258 raised money for Juvenile
Diabetes Camp. Carol J. Peterson
chaired the event, which helped send
a Freeborn County child to the camp
that teaches diabetic youngsters how
to cope with their condition.
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Just before she
passed away, 10-year-old Tayah
Mease was chosen by Hawkeye
District as their official 2009-10
District Child. District Eagles
collected $462 for her family to help
with burial expenses. Tayah was
granddaughter of Auxiliary 2272
member Marie Ellis.
MILTON, VT – Past Madam President
Lise Morrison spearheaded a drive at
Auxiliary 4218 to collect donations
of money and medical supplies for
victims of the January earthquake in
Haiti.
MT. CLEMONS, MI – Members of
Aerie/Auxiliary 1269 who
participated in the “Race for the
Cure” 5-K breast cancer walk in
Detroit included Erin Miller, Becky
Plodzik, Ken Pasciak, Diann Plodzik,
Brooks Kesler, DeLisa Pasciak and
Denise Ponatawski.
TOLEDO, OH – Jim Caldwell of the
Northwest Ohio Food Bank accepted a
$500 donation from Auxiliary 197 Madam
President Patsy Bates and Worthy President
Tom Meineke.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Mark Carlson and Cloriaetta Flexenhar
of the Cole County Nutrition Center accepted checks of
$3,022.04 and $1,000 from Aerie/Auxiliary 2693’s Anna Mae
Schaefer, Joe Twehous and Mary Ann Boillot. The money was
raised at a fundraising dinner/raffle, and includes a Golden
Eagle Fund grant.
