someone in need.” Darrell Rall Grand Worthy Outside Guard 2008-2009 Darrell Rall, Garden Grove, CA, Grand Worthy Outside Guard, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will visit Aerie No. 3801, Vergennes, VT for the Vermont State Convention to be held June 19 th – 21, 2009. Asked why he originally joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Darrell Rall has a succinct answer: “To party”, says the member of South Gate, CA Aerie 2080 since 1975. Thirty-seven years later, being an Eagle means a whole lot more to him. “It's an opportunity to give back to my community, says Darrell, serving as 2007-2008 International Director of the Eagles max Baer Fund, which raises millions of dollars each year for coronary research. In fact, adds Darrell, “My greatest thrill in life is helping A former Worthy President of Aerie 2080, former California State Aerie and Western Regional Aerie President, Darrell has dedicated himself to “helping the FOE grow and become a better organization.” He intends to spend the next year working hard to eliminate disease through the Eagles Max Baer Heart Fund. “In the 48 years that it has existed, our Heart Fund has accomplished so much,” says Darrell. “We are on the front line when it comes to hear research, and with the support of Eagles everywhere we can achieve a breakthrough that will end the heartache of heart disease.” Darrell enjoys riding motorcycles when he isn't working for the Eagles.
Tom McGrath Grand Treasurer 2008-2009 Thomas L. “Tom” McGrath, Ferrisburgh, VT, Grand Treasurer, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will visit Aerie No. 3801, Vergennes, VT for the Vermont State Convention to be held June 19 th – 21, 2009. 22, 1962. McGrath joined Rutland Aerie #1001, Rutland, VT on October He currently server Addison County Aerie #3801 as Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has held all local offices except Treasurer. McGrath was the receipient of the Eagle of the Year award at Aerie 3801 twice & received the Outstanding Eagle of the Year and also a lifetime membership from his brothers . He currently received the H.L. Paris, Eagle of the Year award twice from the Vermont State Aerie. He served as Vermont State Aerie President in 1992, Northern New England Regional President in 1993. Continuing to serve this great fraternity as Grand Worthy Conductor in 1995 and was elected to Grand Worthy Chaplain in 1999, continuing on as a Grand Trustee. While serving as a Board member he reflects on many accomplishments our fraternity has benefited by: i.e. consolidation of offices & employees, state of the art new headquarters wholly owned, annual employee appraisals, compensation and benefits packages, employment policy. full-time Eagle. McGrath served three terms in the House of Representatives, Vermont State General Assembly resigning to become a McGrath retired in 1995 after 35 years with General Electric and Martin-Marietta Aerospace as Manager of Research & Development, Production Control. He and his wife Peggy have two sons and five grandchildren. He enjoys his grandchildren, traveling and representing the Grand Aerie.
