"yesterday thou wast the treasure-house for gold,
"and to-day thou art thyself treasured up in gold."
viii. Another said, "He that rejoiceth in thy death
"shall follow thee, even as thou hast followed those
"in whose [p. 256] death thou didst take delight."
ix. Another said, "Alexander rebuked us during The sayings
"his lifetime, and now in his death also he teacheth sophers. '
