the cup-bearer take vengeance upon him and give<br />

him poison to drink. And <strong>Alexander</strong> died at<br />

Babylon, and Antapis"* put him in a coffin of gold<br />

and took him to Alexandria, where he was buried.<br />

Now the days of <strong>Alexander</strong>'s [p. 252] life, until<br />

he died, were thirty-two years. He began to fight<br />
