mountain in his hand and keeping it firm. Now<br />

when the Two-horned saw [the angel] he feared<br />

him with an exceedingly great fear, and he went<br />

to him singing praises by reason of his fear, and<br />

<strong>Alexander</strong>, the king, the Two- horned, praised him<br />

with these praises, saying:<br />

"Glory and praise be unto Thee, O my God <strong>Alexander</strong>'s<br />

"and Lord, from this time forth and for evermore. *'^'"" °'<br />

"Amen.<br />

"Glory be to Thee, O my God and Lord, now<br />

"and always. Glory be to Thee, O my God and<br />

"Lord, from the place whereon my foot standeth<br />

"even unto the ends of the world, and to the ut-<br />

"most limits thereof<br />

"Glory be to Thee, O my God and Lord, from<br />

"the place whereon I dwell even unto Thy habi-<br />

"tation. Glory be to Thee, O my God and Lord,<br />

"O Thou Who sittest above the Cherubim,' and<br />

"Who watchest the earth, and Who hast placed<br />

"it that it may tremble at Thy Majesty.<br />

"Glory be to Thee, O my God and Lord, from<br />

"the darkness even unto the light. Glory be to<br />

'Thee, O my God and Lord, Who hast made<br />

"thy angels spirits, and those who bear Thee<br />

"along a flame of fire.^<br />

"May God Almighty, my God and Lord, be<br />

"blessed, and may His memorial be exalted."<br />
