Description iv. Thc History of <strong>Alexander</strong> by Joseph ben-<br />

Gorion is taken from a manuscript containing the<br />

Ethiopia version of his "History of the Jews", pre-<br />

served in the British Museum; see Orient. 822,<br />

and Wright, Catalogue, p. 288, No. ccclxxviii. This<br />

manuscript is of vellum, about 9)^ in. by S^, and<br />

contains 136 leaves, and each page contains two<br />

columns of 24 or 25 lines; it was probably written<br />

in the XVIIth century.<br />

V. The History of the Death of <strong>Alexander</strong> by<br />

an anonymous writer is taken from a manuscript<br />

preserved in the British Museum; see Add. 24,990,<br />

and Wright, Catalogue, p. 12, No. xiii.<br />
