• Flat roofs should be avoided.
• Lean-to roofs should be of equal or lower pitch than the main roof
Wall and Roof Finishes • Ensure buildings have a consistent palette of materials in keeping with the existing rural character of the area.
• Materials to consider include stone, brick, render, slate and timber
• High quality boundary materials such as local traditional dry stone/lime mortared walls or low bank and hedging must be used throughout
the scheme
• Concrete block walls and brick walls are not acceptable
