1. SPORTING REGULATIONS<br />
1.1 INTRODUCTION<br />
1.1.1 A series of motorcycle races counting toward the Championship for<br />
Riders and Constructors will be organised.<br />
1.2 EVENTS<br />
1.2.1 The Event shall be deemed to commence at the scheduled time<br />
for Technical and Sporting Checks and finish after all the races at<br />
the expiry of the deadline for the lodging of a protest and the time<br />
at which technical or sporting verifications have been concluded,<br />
whichever is the latest.<br />
The race control must remain operative with all equipment in place<br />
until the end of the period provided for the lodging of a protest, and<br />
all officials and marshals must remain at the circuit available to the<br />
Race Direction and <strong>FIM</strong> Stewards during that period.<br />
1.2.2 Events must be staged on race circuits that have been approved by<br />
the <strong>FIM</strong> for the Championship.<br />
1.2.3 Events must not include any other races except for support races<br />
approved by IMS and <strong>FIM</strong> which may not alter the event schedule<br />
(1.13).<br />
1.2.4 Any activity involving 4 wheels racing vehicular use of the track<br />
during the event, including “demonstrations”, displays or the suchlike<br />
must receive prior approval from <strong>FIM</strong> and IMS.<br />
1.2.5 Organisers will be nominated by IMS and <strong>FIM</strong>.<br />
1.2.6 The Organiser is responsible for providing the facilities and<br />
personnel to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event.<br />
1.2.7 IMS shall obtain or shall arrange for the provision by each organiser<br />
of an insurance for third party liability for each meeting to cover<br />
IMS liability and that of all participants, the manufacturers, riders,<br />
sponsors, teams, service companies and officials in case of<br />
accidents to third parties during a meeting or during the practices.<br />
