In the event of a tie, riders’ second and subsequent best times will
be taken into account.
1.15.6 Qualification for the Race
To qualify for the race, a rider must achieve a time at least equal
to 107% of the time recorded by the fastest rider of his class in at
least one qualifying session.
Any rider who fails to achieve a qualifying time will be permitted
to take part in the race provided that in any of the free practice
sessions he/she has achieved a time at least equal to 107% of the
fastest rider in same session. Such riders will start the race from
the back of the grid, according to their free practice times.
Exemptions may be granted by the Race Direction.
1.16 SUPERPOLE FOR SUPERBIKE
No later than 10 minutes before the start of the Superpole, the Race Director will
decide whether the Superpole will be run according to the “Dry” procedure (Art.
1.16.1) or the “Wet” procedure (Art. 1.16.2).
If the Superpole is run according to the “Wet” procedure, a “Wet Superpole”
board will be displayed in the pit lane and the same information will appear
on the TV screens in the pit boxes. If no board is displayed the Superpole will
automatically be “dry”.
1.16.1 Participants – Constant Dry Superpole
- The first 15 riders of the qualifying practice results will take part in Dry
Superpole 1 (14 minutes).
- The first 12 riders of the Dry Superpole 1 results will take part in Dry
Superpole 2 (12 minutes).
- The first 9 riders of the Dry Superpole 2 results will take part in Dry
Superpole 3 (10 minutes).
In each Dry Superpole, in the event of a tie, the qualifying practice results will be
taken into account.
