LET’S GET BETTY TO RUMBLE: UND will
enter Saturday’s game against Minnesota
Duluth with a 64-6 (.914) all-time record
at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, which
opened its doors prior to the 2004-05 season.
300: A win on Saturday in UND’s final
North Central Conference game would
give head coach Gene Roebuck his 300th
career home court victory at UND.
SENIOR SENDOFF: Five seniors will play in
their final regular season game in a Sioux
uniform on Saturday.
The group has gone 115-13 (.898) en route
to three NCC regular season championships,
three NCC playoff titles and a
berth in the 2006-07 Elite Eight.
G Karla Beck (Munich, N.D.) has
appeared in 123 games – which is tied for
10th all-time at UND – and ranks eighth
on the school’s all-time steals list (170)
and ninth in career free throw percentage
(.779). In 26 games this season, Beck is
averaging 7.3 points and 4.5 assists per
game, including an NCC-leading 5.45
assists per game during league play.
G Anna Leigh Brady (New Town, N.D.)
has appeared in 21 games in her two seasons
since coming to UND from Lake
Region (N.D.) State College. She was a
member of UND’s Elite Eight entry last
season and has made better than 46 percent
of her career three-point attempts.
C Ashley Langen (Kennedy, Minn.)
recently became just the second player in
school history to score 2,000 career points
and also ranks second all-time in scoring,
field goals made and free throw percentage.
A three-time All-NCC selection, this
season Langen leads the NCC in rebounding
(10.8 rpg) and field goal percentage
(.595) while ranking third in scoring (16.5
ppg).
C Val Sannes (Wahpeton, N.D.) has
appeared in 82 career games and was
recently named to the Academic All-NCC
team. This season, as a key reserve,

apg), steals (1.2 spg) while shooting 50
percent from the field.
SHE GOT GAME(S): Senior C Ashley
Langen (Kennedy, Minn.) will play in her
126th career game on Saturday, which will
tie her with Jamie Pudenz (1996-00) for
sixth on UND’s all-time games played list.
Meanwhile, teammate Karla Beck (Sr.,
Munich, N.D.) will play in career game
No. 124, which will tie her with Tiffany
Pudenz (1994-98) for ninth all-time.
TRANSITION GAME: The 2007-08 season
will be UND’s last both at the Division II
level and as members of the North Central
Conference. The Sioux are making the
transition to the Division I level after this
season.
UND has won three Division II national
championships (1999, 1998, 1997) in
women’s basketball and has claimed 11
NCC titles, including the last three in a
row.
