skid that reached six games with a 65-57<br />
loss at Nebraska-Omaha on Thursday<br />
night ... UMD’s three seniors – Katy<br />
Freeman, Alissa Pauly and Kim Wagers<br />
– combined to score 40 <strong>of</strong> the Bulldogs’<br />
points ... Freeman went 6-for-10 from the<br />
field and finished with a team-high 15<br />
points ... The Bulldogs were plagued by 26<br />
turnovers ... UMD enters Saturday’s regular<br />
season finale averaging a league-low<br />

The <strong>Sioux</strong> have now won 10 straight<br />
matchups against the Bulldogs and have<br />
won 17 <strong>of</strong> the 19 games played in Grand<br />

with a 106-49 thumping on Feb. 16 in<br />

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: UND entered<br />
the final week <strong>of</strong> the regular season leading<br />
the entire nation in scoring margin<br />
(22.4 ppg), rebounding margin (+13.8 rpg)<br />
and assists per game (20.7 apg).<br />
The <strong>Sioux</strong> are attempting to lead Division<br />
II women’s basketball in rebounding margin<br />
for the third straight year, and in assists<br />
per game for the second consecutive year.<br />
This season, UND also ranks fourth<br />
nationally in scoring <strong>of</strong>fense (81.1 ppg),<br />
field goal percentage (48.3%) and<br />
assist/turnover ratio (1.25) and seventh in<br />
winning percentage (92.3).<br />
PLAYING THE FIELD: UND’s post duo <strong>of</strong><br />
senior C Ashley Langen (Kennedy,<br />
Minn.) and junior F Kierah Kimbrough<br />
(Greenbush, Minn.) each rank among the<br />
top 10 nationally in field goal percentage.<br />
Langen is shooting 59.5 percent from the<br />
field, which ranks fourth nationally and<br />
leads the <strong>North</strong> Central Conference.<br />
Langen also ranks 10th nationally in<br />
rebounding (10.8 rpg).<br />
Kimbrough, meanwhile, is shooting 58.6<br />
percent, which ranks seventh in Division<br />
II and third in the NCC.<br />

respectively, on UND’s all-time field goal<br />

HEAD OF THE CLASS: Sophomore G Alys<br />
Seay (Grand Forks) and junior F Kierah<br />
Kimbrough (Greenbush, Minn.) were<br />
named to the Academic All-<strong>North</strong> Central<br />
Conference Women’s <strong>Basketball</strong> team<br />
earlier this week.<br />
Seay, a Spanish major, was the only player<br />
on the entire academic squad with a perfect<br />
4.0 grade point average. Kimbrough,<br />
meanwhile, carries a 3.36 GPA in communication.
