ABOUT UMD: The Bulldogs enter
Saturday’s game at UND stuck in a losing
skid that reached six games with a 65-57
loss at Nebraska-Omaha on Thursday
night ... UMD’s three seniors – Katy
Freeman, Alissa Pauly and Kim Wagers
– combined to score 40 of the Bulldogs’
points ... Freeman went 6-for-10 from the
field and finished with a team-high 15
points ... The Bulldogs were plagued by 26
turnovers ... UMD enters Saturday’s regular
season finale averaging a league-low

ppg) leads the team and ranks eighth in the

ALL-TIME SERIES: UND is 33-3 (.917) alltime
against Minnesota Duluth after handing
the Bulldogs a 106-49 whipping earlier
this season.
The Sioux have now won 10 straight
matchups against the Bulldogs and have
won 17 of the 19 games played in Grand
Forks.
THE LAST MEETING: UND handed the
Bulldogs their worst loss in program history
with a 106-49 thumping on Feb. 16 in

Langen put up 19 points and 14 rebounds
while going 2-for-3 from three-point
range, the first three-pointers of her career

Mallory Youngblut scored a career-high
22 points to lift the Sioux to an 88-64 win
over Nebraska-Omaha last Saturday ...

... Senior C Ashley Langen aded

the Sioux back into the win column after
UND had dropped a 76-65 loss at South
Dakota two nights earlier.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: UND entered
the final week of the regular season leading
the entire nation in scoring margin
(22.4 ppg), rebounding margin (+13.8 rpg)
and assists per game (20.7 apg).
The Sioux are attempting to lead Division
II women’s basketball in rebounding margin
for the third straight year, and in assists
per game for the second consecutive year.
This season, UND also ranks fourth
nationally in scoring offense (81.1 ppg),
field goal percentage (48.3%) and
assist/turnover ratio (1.25) and seventh in
winning percentage (92.3).
PLAYING THE FIELD: UND’s post duo of
senior C Ashley Langen (Kennedy,
Minn.) and junior F Kierah Kimbrough
(Greenbush, Minn.) each rank among the
top 10 nationally in field goal percentage.
Langen is shooting 59.5 percent from the
field, which ranks fourth nationally and
leads the North Central Conference.
Langen also ranks 10th nationally in
rebounding (10.8 rpg).
Kimbrough, meanwhile, is shooting 58.6
percent, which ranks seventh in Division
II and third in the NCC.

Kimbrough rank second and fourth,
respectively, on UND’s all-time field goal
percentage chart:

However, it also means UND has not been
outrebounded in 37 games. The last time
UND was outrebounded in a game was a
66-61 loss at St. Cloud State on Feb. 1,
2007.
HEAD OF THE CLASS: Sophomore G Alys
Seay (Grand Forks) and junior F Kierah
Kimbrough (Greenbush, Minn.) were
named to the Academic All-North Central
Conference Women’s Basketball team
earlier this week.
Seay, a Spanish major, was the only player
on the entire academic squad with a perfect
4.0 grade point average. Kimbrough,
meanwhile, carries a 3.36 GPA in communication.
