2nd Season<br />

Nate Baukol is in his second season as U<strong>ND</strong>’s director of<br />

strength and conditioning, and sixth season overall at U<strong>ND</strong>.<br />

Baukol served as assistant strength and conditioning coach<br />

at U<strong>ND</strong> from 2002 to 2005 before taking a similar position at<br />

the University of Wyoming in May 2006.<br />

A native of Moorhead, Minn., Baukol graduated from<br />

Minnesota State Moorhead in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in<br />

exercise science. He received his master’s degree in kiniesiology<br />

from U<strong>ND</strong> in 2004.<br />

Baukol is a certified strength coach through the Collegiate<br />

Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and the<br />

National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also a<br />

certified Level I Olympic lifting club coach.<br />

Baukol’s family includes his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter,<br />

Emma.<br />

5th Season Season<br />

Having served the past three seasons as equi<strong>pm</strong>ent manager<br />

for U<strong>ND</strong>’s women’s hockey team, Travis Kahlbaugh added<br />

women’s and men’s basketball, volleyball and soccer to his<br />

duties in 2006-07.<br />

Kahlbaugh is a 2000 graduate of the University of North<br />

Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and<br />

teaching and learning. Before coming to U<strong>ND</strong>, he spent the<br />

previous four years teaching in <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Forks</strong> and Rugby, N.D.<br />

Kahlbaugh’s hockey background includes a stint as a player<br />

in the AFHL, as well as coaching experience in <strong>Grand</strong><br />

<strong>Forks</strong> and Rugby (N.D.).<br />

A native of <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Forks</strong>, Kahlbaugh is a 1996 high school<br />

graduate of <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Forks</strong> Central High School.<br />

Certified Certified Athletic Athletic Trainer Trainer<br />

5th Season Season<br />

Erika Hunt is in her fifth season at U<strong>ND</strong> and her third as<br />

certified athletic trainer for the women’s and men’s basketball<br />

teams. Hunt was hired as a full-time athletic trainer in the summer<br />

of 2005 after having served the previous two seasons as a<br />

graduate assistant at U<strong>ND</strong>, working primarily with the<br />

Fighting Sioux volleyball and softball teams.<br />

A native of Rock Lake, N.D., Hunt is a 2003 graduate of<br />

the University of Mary and received her master’s degree in<br />

kinesiology from U<strong>ND</strong> in 2005.<br />

JAYSON JAYSON HAJDU HAJDU<br />

Media Media Relations Relations<br />

6th Season Season<br />

Jayson Hajdu is in his sixth year as assistant director of athletic<br />

media relations at U<strong>ND</strong>. He serves as the primary contact<br />

for women’s and men’s basketball, football, softball and<br />

men’s and women’s golf.<br />

A member of the College Sports Information Directors of<br />

America (CoSIDA), Hajdu has garnered 16 CoSIDA<br />

Publication Awards, including six “Best in the Nation” citations.<br />

Hajdu is a 2000 graduate of U<strong>ND</strong> with a bachelor’s<br />

degree in communication. A native of Regina, Sask., Hajdu<br />

served as a graduate assistant in the U<strong>ND</strong> athletic media relations<br />

department for two seasons prior to being appointed fulltime.<br />

Prior to that, he served as an undergraduate student assistant<br />

from 1995 to 2000.
