2. 40-51 Week Employees<br />

The following holidays will be paid at the employee’s regular hours and pay<br />

rate. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday preceding will be the<br />

designated holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will<br />

be the designated holiday.<br />

Friday after Thanksgiving<br />

Christmas Eve Day<br />

New Years’ Day<br />

Good Friday (if scheduled on a non-attendance day<br />

on the District Calendar)<br />

3. Less than 40-Week Employees<br />

The following holidays will be paid at the employee’s regular hours and pay<br />

rate. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday preceding will be the<br />

designated holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will<br />

be the designated holiday.<br />

4. Probationary Employees<br />

Holiday pay shall not be granted to an employee during their probationary<br />

period. After the successful completion of their probationary period, employees<br />

are considered permanent employees and will be granted all benefits outlined<br />

for permanent 52 and non-52 week employees.<br />

G. INSURANCE<br />

1. Medical Insurance<br />

The Board will provide medical insurance through the West Michigan Health<br />

Insurance Pool (WMHIP) for 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years. Specific terms<br />

and conditions of coverage are set forth in the group policy provided by the<br />

Board.<br />
