Who we are...
Five Oceans Services (FOS) is a German company having its head
offi ce in the city of Leer. Since its formation in 2003 subsidiary
and representative offi ces have been opened in Egypt, India and
Iran. Furthermore FOS has an operational base in Germany and a
local support base in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
FOS is a submarine cable installation contractor serving
the worldwide offshore oil and gas industry with a specifi c
geographical focus on the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, the
Middle East and India.
The team behind the FOS organization has a history of being
active in the submarine cable installation market since 1985,
whereby engineering disciplines from mechanical via civil to
maintenance and ocean engineering are fully integrated.
FOS currently utilizes on a long-term basis its DP-2 cable lay
vessel “Siem Carrier” in close operational combination with the
installation support vessel “Zakher Crown” as its core assets to
service its clients. Additional resources are sourced on a project
specifi c basis enabling FOS to provide the most suitable technical
and economic solution to its clients.
Based on its in-house resources FOS can install, maintain and
repair submarine cables in water depths up to 1,000 meter.
To compliment client requirements for turnkey solutions, FOS
has established long-term cooperation agreements for services
inclusive but not limited to diving, trenching and ROV support,
marine survey and positioning as well as cable termination and
testing.
What we do best...
The projects we perform involve complex operations: tough
environmental conditions, complex logistics, stringent
design criteria and third party interfaces are amongst the
challenges our project teams are confronted with.
These challenges are being dealt with under stringent time
constraints of the overall project as well as specifi c client
requirements.
We believe that these challenges can only be met by both
strong project management and close cooperation between
all involved parties.
Our performance during submarine cable installation projects
is always based on fl exibility, experience, knowledge and the
commitment of our personnel preparing and undertaking
the work.
