Observation of the mentor’s lessons, filling in observation sheets,
interpreting data collected by observation sheets, keeping diary, writing
lesson plans, preparing teaching materials, discussing lessons with mentors,
microteaching.
The student gets a grade for teaching practice. The grade reflects the
student's teaching practice grades (80%) and portfolio grade (20%). The
porfolio contains the student's lesson plans, mentor's reports, the student's
interpretation of data collected by observation sheets and the student's diary
of teaching practice.

Learning Students acquire basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are
outcomes and needed for successful organization and implementation of pedagogical
competences processes and activities in educational practice.
Students are able to show understanding of a) basics of pedagogy (i.e. the
theory and practice of education), b) social and historical dimension of
pedagogical theory and practice, c) developmental trends in alternative
pedagogical theories and practices, d) basic characteristics and development
of school systems, e) methods and aspects of pedagogical action in the
process of education.
Students get insight into the methodology of pedagogical research.
Prerequisites Enrolment in the first year of graduate study (teacher education).
