DE DAGEN, a <strong>music</strong> <strong>theatre</strong> company headed by s<strong>in</strong>ger Silvie<br />
Moors, wants to share word, image and <strong>music</strong> with children and<br />
grownups, a philosophy that is given shape <strong>in</strong> cross-discipl<strong>in</strong>ary<br />
projects: a visual exhibition accompanied by a <strong>music</strong> <strong>theatre</strong><br />
piece, a picture book chang<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to a <strong>music</strong>al tale, or a concert<br />
turn<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to a plastic workshop – with <strong>music</strong> and text material<br />
always made to measure.<br />
P<strong>in</strong>okkio (2007) is a narrative concert with songs by and with<br />
Silvie Moors and Lieven Gouwy. The concert is accompanied by<br />
an <strong>in</strong>teractive exhibition of illustrations by Sara Fanelli.<br />
Requiem voor een Eend (Requiem for a Duck, 2009) is a <strong>music</strong>al<br />
kamishibai-performance about death, based on a picture book<br />
by Wolf Erlbruch, with <strong>music</strong> by Jan Van Outryve performed by<br />
<strong>music</strong>ians Silvie Moors and Frans Grapperhaus and narrated by<br />
Sofie Sente.<br />
One of DE DAGEN’s classics is Floris en Blancefloer, de kamishibai<br />
(2004), a project developed <strong>in</strong> co-production with Laika<br />
and <strong>in</strong> collaboration with children’s art lab ‘Art Basics for Children’.<br />
