FHS music students learn
teamwork, improv at Disney
Nearly 50 students from FHS’s Band, Orchestra and Choir
traveled to Florida over Winter Break in February. They attended
a workshop held at Epcot entitled, “Techniques of Teamwork
through Improvisation.” In this 3-hour program, students gained
insights into how improvisational theories can be applied to
real-life situations at home, school or in future careers. Every
student played a role in a mock production and were taught
professional communication techniques that, with practice, help
build confidence, unleash creativity and cultivate teamwork.
