to preview UM<br />
web survey<br />
Throughout the past decade,<br />
the <strong>Ferndale</strong> <strong>Schools</strong> have been<br />
collaborating with researchers at the<br />
University of Michigan on a National<br />
Institutes of Health federally funded<br />
study of students regarding their views<br />
about their school experiences, which<br />
includes a survey of risky behaviors,<br />
including drug and alcohol use.<br />
The survey asks middle school<br />
and high school students through<br />
an online survey for confidential<br />
answers. ONLY students with their<br />
parent/guardians’ signed consent can<br />
participate in the web survey. The<br />
survey will take place in December and<br />
February.<br />
Parents are welcome to attend a<br />
special preview session of the web<br />
survey. A representative of the U-M<br />
research team will be available<br />
to answer questions. The preview<br />
session will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, 20<strong>12</strong><br />
from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Harding<br />
Administration Building, Room 11.<br />

To reduce the morning congestion in the<br />
student drop o area, we are making some<br />
changes to make the process safer and faster<br />
for everyone.<br />
Use the South Brown Lot entrance and follow<br />
around to your left as shown on the map below. The drop<br />
o is now along the islands.<br />
The Front Circular Drive will be blocked, and the<br />
Front Eagle Lot is a visitor and sta parking lot, and<br />
must not be used to drop o and/or pick up students.<br />
