• The <strong>2013</strong> FHS Spring Concert on Saturday, May 18, will feature the<br />
premier of the Ira Hearshen-commissioned piece, tentatively titled, “Eight Mile<br />
Rhythm,” based on three iconic Motown tunes. This concert will also feature an<br />
FHS Alumni Band, for the first time in about 30 years. See page 5 for more details.<br />

• Did you know the District has a local cable channel, <strong>19</strong>, that airs<br />
general information about the school district and the monthly Board of Education<br />
meetings? The meetings are broadcast on a standard<br />
schedule every day: 5 a.m., 11 a.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m. If you ever find that the station<br />
is not broadcasting properly, please email<br />
shall@ferndaleschools.org, so we can address the issue right away.<br />
