LEVELLING<br />

(b) Provision for levelling.<br />

3. (a) Amount of detailed estimate<br />

(b) Rate per square metre in the detailed estimate and how does it compare with provision in<br />

administrative approval.<br />

4. (a) Total Area to be levelled<br />

(b) General description of site<br />

(c) Are there any low areas which may be left green or developed as lakes or ponds? If so, can earth<br />

for filling be made available from such development?<br />

5. (a) Classification and nature of soil<br />

(b) Result of trial bores, if any.<br />

(c) Exact classification of the different strata, if rocky.<br />

(d) Possibility of blasting, keeping in view local bye laws and proximity of important buildings.<br />

(e) Has necessary credit for hard rock been allowed?<br />

6. (a) Are the proposed formation levels such as cutting and filling balanced.<br />

(b) (i) Site from where earth is to be brought and its lead, in case of excess filling.<br />

(ii) Amount involved.<br />

(iii) Royalty payable, if any.<br />

(c) In case of excess cutting:<br />

(i) Site for the disposal of surplus earth<br />

(ii) Extra lead and amount involved<br />

(iii) Possibility of selling the earth<br />

7. Levels of the adjoining sites, roads and buildings as compared to the site being levelled.<br />

8. Do the proposed formation levels obstruct the existing natural drainage?<br />

9. (a) Are any terraces proposed to economise on earth work?<br />

(b) If so, do the proposals have concurrence of Town Planner, Architect, Director of Horticulture?<br />

10. Have the proposals for development/layout been approved by local authorities?<br />
