the biological stage of wastewater treatment in the respective<br />

Conclusions<br />

Detergents are closely related to the environment. From<br />

an environmental point of view, the impact of detergents on<br />

water resources management, their biodegradability, toxicity<br />

and eutrophication caused by detergents is very significant.<br />

Since a large number of synthetic detergents exhibits insufficient<br />

biodegradability, water courses are becoming polluted<br />

with these substances. Even low concentrations of surfactants<br />

were shown to endanger the organisms in the environment.<br />

In order to minimize their concentrations in the environment,<br />

generally valid rules should be implemented to help protect<br />

our environment.<br />
