Pastor
Please take time to read the front page of this newsletter about
the events of April 28, as a part of our SERVE emphasis our SERVE pastor,
John Johnston, has organized a Ministry and Missions Fair! It will be
held in the Fellowship Hall and opened Sunday during our usual service
times. The fair will showcase our major ministry opportunities.
Also it is Gideon’s International testimony time. Our own Harold Hammond
will bring this year’s report in services Sunday. A love offering will be taken for this Bible
placement ministry.
See you Sunday for another great day.
Travis
Minister of Education
Our Ministry & Mission Fair is coming up this Sunday, April 28, in the Fellowship Hall. We will have
displays representing many of our ministries under Worship, Grow and Serve, plus tables
representing mission trip opportunities and our various committees / ministry teams. Come by Sunday
morning between Sunday School and worship hours and there will be people available to answer
questions. The fair will also be open Sunday afternoon from 4:45 – 6:00 p.m.
CityFest CityFest is our Mission:SERVE project for May. We need volunteers to hand out bottled water and
information from our booth on Saturday, May 4. Help is especially needed with
set-up at 7:30 a.m. as we need to deliver the cases of water, tables, chairs, a tent and ice
-chests to our spot on Main Street. Pick-ups would be helpful. Donations of bottled water
can be brought to the Adult Ministry Office.
John
Minister to Senior Adults
I am really enjoying this message series on
service by our pastor. God is challenging us to practice
what we hear in good preaching. I have noticed some
areas that volunteers are needed for our church building.
If you would like to serve please contact John Rodgers.
The opportunities for service are parking lot painting,
light duty cleaning, touch up interior painting, and light
duty yard work. True ministry is saying here I am Lord,
where can I serve You and Your Church. Every member
counts, every member can contribute, where will we
serve?
Dave
The Preschool Ministry would like to extend a
warm welcome to Matt and Kristin Burns who will be
serving as Preschool Sunday School Directors beginning
in August. Matt and Kristin have served in many capacities
within our church and are very excited to take on this
new role in the fall. They are already working diligently
on the new Fall schedule and enlistment of Preschool
Sunday School Leaders. Please remember Matt and
Kristin and the Preschool Ministry in your prayers as we
prepare for the new Sunday School year.
Blessings,
