A Moment with the Pastor
We are in the last week of our
“Transformed by His Story” campaign.
You will receive your commitment card
through the mail this week, along with
detailed information about returning them on May 16.
Thirty-eight of our leadership families have already
pledged $439,000. That is a great start and an inspiration
for the rest of our church. Leaders, if you haven’t
gotten your commitment card to the Finance Office,
please do so by Friday, May 14. On May 16, we will
have great music, drama, and a commitment message to
close out our campaign.
Don’t forget your “First Fruits” offering as we jump
start the giving for the campaign. Thank you, children,
for leading the way this last Sunday and bringing your
banks filled with your offering. The Bible says the children
will lead them. Now, let’s follow their example and
be generous with our commitments and First Fruit Offering.

Travis
This Sunday, we will present the last of the
“Transformed by His Story” Sunday School lessons. I want to
thank all of our teachers of all age groups for their willingness to
step outside the box and present these lessons. We’ve received
great feedback on class discussions and participation. The final
lesson is “Transformed by Perseverance.” The disciplines we
have studied will only benefit if we continue to practice them. I
urge you to pick at least one of these disciplines and embrace it,
making it a regular part of your life. Of course, I would hope you
would consider practicing all of the disciplines we have studied.
They will have a life-long impact on your relationship with God
and other people.
I want to express my gratitude to the team that helped
with the adult lesson plans and guides. They have provided valuable
input, suggestions, encouragement and pray support over
these weeks. They are: Randy Salle’, Stephan Willingham, Brad
Morrow, Bruce Ward, David Shilland, Gregory Gray, Doug & Sue
Bowling, Kevin LeSeuer, and Russ & Wendy Majors. Thank you
for your part in preparing these lessons on spiritual transformation.

Transformation should never end in our spiritual journey.
As our stewardship campaign emphasis draws to commitment
time, we must be reminded that spiritual transformation
continues. I have enjoyed our Sunday School transformation
series. I have been challenged in many areas of the spiritual
disciplines. I am thankful to all the teams that contributed
in developing our material.
Our worship experiences have been a picture to behold
and enjoy. I am continually amazed at the talent and the synergy
God has blessed me to serve with. Only God knows what would
happen if we did not hold back and said "I will prove my commitment
through my faith, and allow God to truly have my all". Transformation
is letting go and letting God do what only He can do.
