The Minister of Education<br />
We are hosting a “Men of Honor” simulcast on Friday, <strong>June</strong> 15. The simulcast will feature<br />
the creators and cast of the movie, “Courageous,” and should provide a powerful and uplifting<br />
challenge to men. It will be held in the chapel and starts at 6:00 p.m., lasting about two hours. This<br />
is a FREE event for all men. Bring some snack items to share, the church will provide soft drinks.<br />
Our next Mission: SERVE SERVE afternoon is coming up Sunday, <strong>June</strong> 24, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Our<br />
focus will be on VBS set-up. There will be opportunities to help put together project bags, move<br />
tables and chairs in and out of rooms, and several other projects to assist our VBS teachers to get<br />
ready for the big day on <strong>June</strong> 25 when VBS takes off. More details to come.<br />
We want to express our appreciation and gratitude to Jeannie Boyd for her many years of service as a<br />
ministry assistant with FBC. She’s worn many hats during her tenure, but her love has been for the outreach<br />
ministry of our church and she has faithfully maintained the prospect records and made preparations for our<br />
weekly outreach efforts. She retired once, then came back to work part-time for the past two years. This time her<br />
retirement is more or less permanent. We will certainly miss Jeannie in the office and hope she enjoys her retirement.<br />
The Senior Adult Minister<br />
Please allow me to remind everyone of some upcoming day trips. . On Tuesday, <strong>June</strong> 19, we have<br />
reserved a Hyundai Tour. We will be leaving at around 8:30 a.m. with an early lunch to follow. On Tuesday,<br />
July July 17, 17, we have a fun Mystery Tour planned. Please call the church office and reserve your spots. Visitors<br />
are welcome so feel free to invite them. Reservations are important in planning these fun outings. Do Do not<br />

On July 4, the City of <strong>Prattville</strong> and the <strong>Prattville</strong> Lion’s Club will be honoring veterans of the Korean<br />
War. Vets will ride at the head of the Independence Day Parade as Grand Marshalls. At Pratt Park, they will<br />
be recognized by Mayor Gillespie and enjoy lunch courtesy of the Lion’s Club. If you are or know of a Korean<br />
